FiOS1 Exclusive: Drug Treatment Centers May Be Forced To Close – LONG ISLAND — New York State is eliminating funding to some some drug and alcohol treatment clinics across Long Island, which are now struggling to find ways to stay open. As previously reported by FiOS1 News, some medical centers received a letter from the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services notifying them that due to state budget cuts, funding will be eliminated by July 1st.
