Fiance Wont Open Up to Me..?

Question by x5jhnt: Fiance wont open up to me..?
Okay so, I’ve been with my fiance for almost 7 years and have been engaged for about 4 of those years. We are both 22.

I’ve always been the conversation starter when it comes to talking about our relationship and after starting it, I have to ask her how she feels about what I’ve said. She usually replies saying, “I agree”. She doesn’t seem to ever want to talk to me about how she feels or our relationship. I’ve been trying for the past 3 months to get her to open up and talk with me, tell me how she feels about things but nothing. I’ve even told her that we can’t be together if we can’t talk. She says she’ll start being more open and talking with me but even the next day, she doesn’t talk to me.

As of now, she’s living with her parents and I’ve told her that Wednesdays we would get together and try talking, figuring a weeks time apart would make us miss each other and be able to talk but now we don’t even talk on the phone…

Does this relationship kind of seem done to you guys?
This isn’t a new problem either, she’s never been open with me but I know it’s not like she’s hiding her life from me. She just doesn’t want to open up, talk or even show affection.
Her parents don’t talk either, that’s what I’m trying to avoid in a marriage.

I just don’t know if it’s worth going through life knowing we’re going to turn out like her parents when I could just back off now…

I don’t want to be confused for the rest of my life.. ya know?
And engaged for 4 years cause we’re waiting to be financially ready and because, I’m kind of holding back on marriage, not knowing if it’s what I want.
She wont talk to a therapist or anything.
I mean hell, she wont talk to me…

she may be clinically depressed. talk to her parents and see if they’ve noticed a change in her over the last year or so – she may need medication for depression. also being together from age 15 for both of you is a long time – why engaged for 4 yrs?

What do you think? Answer below!
