Question by Poet: I want to suggest a new Yahoo chat room?
I wanted to suggest a Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) Support chat room. I’ve met many people with BPD in Yahoo chat and they depend on the support of others to help them deal with this crippling mental illness. The Depression “support” rooms offer no support at all and the vast majority of chatters there know little of the disorder and are ill inclined to offer anyone any support in anycase. The Depression “Support” rooms are nothing more than Yahoo fight rooms now.

Question by al x: How do you know if you have what it takes to be a psychologist?
Can anyone say? If you’re a psychologist did you know it’s what you wanted to do or is it something you figure out through learning and studying on it, etc….?

My opinion is there a lot of people that study for this but are not suitable to be psychologists. More important for me is that you “know” people. To have the ability to listen and observe, to notice small and “unimportant” things. I think this is hard to be learned by studying, you usually have it or not. Of course, learning stuff and theory could always be a plus.
