What Kind of Situation Would Make Law Enforcement or Psychologist Decide That They Must?

Question by aroomshroomshroom: What kind of situation would make law enforcement or psychologist decide that they must?
intervene with a person’s interactions iwth people and get them to “integrate” within society?
What kind of situation would i involve peopel investigating a person’s family background and then harassing them with that information?

Answer by michele
Psychologists do NOT initiate ANY type of treatment (“social integration”, “family investigation”or otherwise) without the express CONSENT of the patient. Under NO circumstances would this happen outside of a court order (obtaining such an order for involuntary treatment is a complex process – a process in which the patient him/herself would participate).

If you believe this is happening to you , it is HIGHLY LIKELY that you are suffering from a delusional disorder. A brief review of your other questions suggests that you may indeed be suffering from such a condition. It is not uncommon. The good news, is that it is TREATABLE.

Are There Any “Hatred Conversion Therapy” Camps Available for Homophobic Christians?

Question by Felonious Monkey: Are there any “hatred conversion therapy” camps available for homophobic Christians?
Is there a camp where Christians can go to pray their homophobia away? The Bible says that you shouldn’t judge your fellow man. It also says that love is the most important of God’s commandments. Therefore, Christians who judge homosexuals or who think homosexuality is disgusting and immoral are risking an eternity in hell.

If no such camp exists perhaps I should start one. I’ll call it “hatred conversion therapy” and I’ll market it to humanists and Unitarian Universalists.
