Question by Something: I’ve Just Came Out Of A Mental Abuse Relationship, Now I’m Seeing This Guy. I Just Need Some Advice!?
The old me was crazy, wild, creative and never cares what people think or say about or too me. It suddenly stopped when I met my ex, I nearly lost my friends because of him. I went out with him for 9 months and I tried to get out of it as much as possible however, he was so controlling over me. Also, after a few months with in the relationship I stopped doing my hobbies and my inspirations.
My ex was ignoring me, like we both walk down the street and I 5 steps behind him. Furthermore, he flirted with girls right in front of me, so talked to his friends more than I get to talk to my own “boyfriend”. When I didn’t want to go somewhere and he wanted to go somewhere, he grabbed my wrist and pulled it. One day my ex, ex saw and nearly punched him!
While he was ignoring me and I was talking to his friends, there was one that I was starting to like. One time I nearly cried in front of him because my ex made me that upset, and he always protecting me and making sure I was alright.
I did try to dumb him buy face to face, however it didn’t work, he started to cry and saying “I want you back and I love you” so stupid me I stayed with him.
Another time he humiliated me, right in front of everyone when he told about my sex life between me and him. At that point I just hated myself.
So basically my confidence has gone done hill, now I do care what people think…

For anyone whose lost a loved one, did counseling help you? My son was a still born and I am lost and turning into a drug addict. Could therapy really help, is it really worth the money?

Yes it can help. If your first counselor doesn’t help, go find another. As time goes on it will hurt a little less each day. Besides, a drug addiction will be a lot more costly in the end.
