Question by RichardK: As a childhood Teacher which is closest to my field, Rehab, Occupational Therapy or Physical therapy?
I am currently a Teacher in the field of childhood education. I would like to change careers and study either Rehabilitation, Occupational Therapy, or Physical Therapist. Which is the closest to my current position as teacher, so that I may apply some credits or experience. Or can you please tell me which is the nearest or closest to my role as a teacher? Thankyou

Between PT and OT, probably OT, but we are probably splitting hairs. Both PT and OT typically have prerequisite requirements for psychology, but there’s probably a lot of courses you didn’t have that you would need to take whether you decided to do PT or OT. As far as “rehab”, this is a term used to describe a variety of careers that involve rehabilitation including PT, OT, speech, psych, medicine, nursing, vocational rehab, rec therapy, etc.

Question by : What is the proper name for an Eating Disorder Psychologist?
People ask me what I would like to be when I grow up (Which is a psychologist specializing in eating disorders). I tell them this, but I was wondering if there is a proper name for this field of psychology?

As someone who has visited countless people in this profession for obvious reasons, I’ve always just heard them called “psychologists”, and I’ve been referred to them because they “specialize in eating disorders”. I mean you could tell people you want to go into clinical psychology if you want to do more of the counseling and/or medication, or that you want to be a nutritionist if you want to help people with eating disorders reform their eating habits and track their weight and health. But I’d say “psychologist specializing in eating disorders” works just fine.

Question by Darneshia: What type of career or job is suitable for someone with leg injuries that prevents standing for long periods ?
I am a army veteran I have service connected disabilities for my knees and ankles and I am unable to stand for long periods is there any job /career that will allow me to work without pain thanks in advance
