Will I Have to Go to AA Meetings After Getting My 1st Dui Charge?

Question by love_66: Will I have to go to AA meetings after getting my 1st dui charge?
I live in Florida. I got a dui a few nights ago. I was just wondering in most cases if AA meetings are usually appointed by the judge? This charge was also followed by a hit and run charge. I think AA would be a good idea for me. Is there any way I can even request going to AA?

Can a Parent Refuse to Get Their Child Mental Health Treatment?

Question by kaytee: Can a parent refuse to get their child mental health treatment?
So, here’s the deal. There was a lot of family drama, and my parents kicked me out. I’m 15 by the way. But for some time before my parents refused to give me the medication that my psychiatrist had prescribed. A week before I got kicked out my mom and dad pulled me out of counseling and refused to let me see my psychiatrist. I’m now living at a youth shelter. My parents have to approve of every appointment that is made. My parents words were: “No more doctors. No more counselors. No more psychiatrists.”
How can they be allowed to keep me from that? How is it legal?
The medications that I was taking were keeping me sane, and it’s nearly impossible for me to function normally without them.
My parents are also going to be sending me to in patient rehab instead of me going home after my time is up at the youth shelter. They’re paying in cash since I don’t qualify for in patient drug treatment, since I dont have any kind of addiction.
