Can We Think of More Original Responses (For Marriage Issues) Than “Get Therapy?”?
Question by G.: Can we think of more original responses (for marriage issues) than “Get Therapy?”?
Seriously, at least 3 people say “Get Therapy” per question. That is the most unoriginal answer in the book. Why don’t we change behaviors, set boundries, re-evaluate situations, and become change agents instead? Not everything can be solved by talking to a shrink, sometimes one has to take responsibility for their actions and move forward! Dr. Phil can’t help everyone, and many times, folks have financial limitations to where that can’t pay some quack (i.e. Dr. Phil) 100 bucks an hour. Medications can help reduce the symptoms of depression, but one must also change their behaviors to avoid becoming “stuck” and dependant on such meds. Anyone got thoughts on this? Anyone want to play devils advocate and tell me I’m full of it?! Please do, differing opinions is always good!
