Can We All Get a Little Perspective Here and Stop the Hyperbole?

by ehoyer

Question by De Patre Vostro: Can we all get a little perspective here and stop the hyperbole?
Completely overshadowed the school knife attack in China where some dude stabbed and slashed 22 kids with a knife.

How many children have been blown up in drone attacks so far this month?

What about the car bombings in Syria by the anti-Assad forces, the supposed “good guys” which killed 16 and wounded 25 including many women and children?

And just to keep it all in perspective, in the USA last year 40 children were killed by their television sets falling on them.

Why no massive outpouring of grief for these kids? Are they worth less?

I get frustrated by these sudden explosions of grief that tend to come from poorly informed people who are ignorant of the varying situations in the world at large. Death is everywhere, children are killed routinely, every day, some might even be ordered to their deaths by that crying piece of shit liar politician that you love so much.

So why are these kids special? All it comes down to is that the media made a big deal about them. The man came on your TV and told you it was a tragedy and tugged on your heartstrings, you saw the pictures of the crying parents and they played your emotions like a game of Super Mario.

I get it that it’s sad, but people are only feeling this strong reaction because they’ve been manipulated by the media to sell advertising and politicians trying to grandstand and sell their agendas. It’s not about “caring” and “support” and it’s annoying to have to witness so many crying, mewling, TV lobotomy cases acting like this staged cry-fest is the end of the world.

“Completely overshadowed the school knife attack in China where some dude stabbed and slashed 22 kids with a knife.”

And NONE OF THOSE KIDS DIED. Only 9 even had to go to the hospital.

And it looks like you DON’T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT ANYONE, so GFY.
