Can Anyone Recommend or Suggest a Supportive Website or Book for Those Who Have a Terminal Illness?
Question by kewtber: Can anyone recommend or suggest a supportive website or book for those who have a terminal illness?
I have found sites for those who lost someone or are grieving their loss but nothing for those who are actually dying…any resources? (this individual is agnostic with atheist leanings so no religious sites please)

Twelve Ways to Help the Bereaved
By being there
By tolerating silences
By listening in an accepting and non-judgemental way
Avoid the use of cliches such as “Think of all the good times”, “You can always have another child” etc
By encouraging them to talk about the deceased
Be practical in your offer of support by minding children or cooking
By mentioning the dead persons name
Accept that tears are normal and healthy
Don’t try to fill in conversations with a lot of outside news.
Remember that grief may take many years to work through
Acknowledge birthdays, death dates, anniversaries etc
By accepting that you cannot make them feel better

The Small Creature – an animated story to help bereaved children – www.bhf.org.uk When young children lose someone close to them, it can be so difficult to tell how they are dealing with that loss, and help them through any feelings they might be having. This is where Small Creature can help. He loses his best friend, Bird, and finds himself experiencing all sorts of feelings as he tries to deal with her loss. The friends he encounters along the way give him little ways to deal with those feelings and let him know that help is at hand.
