someone commits a sex offense, feels bad, turns himself in and takes responsability for it. it was a fondling with his son from his ex wife. he’s married has two step daughters and a daughter with his current wife. he’s currently in jail waiting for court to see what his punishement will be. what i want to know is, when he’s done serving his time, will he be able to live with his daughter and step-kids and current wife. or will he not be allowed around them?

It honestly depends on the court and if they issue an order barring contact with children related or unrelated.
And that depends on the crime, his “rehabilitation” (which is a joke) and the report from the psychiatric exam he’ll have to take on coming out of the prison system.
