Giving alcohol counseling will benefit both the patient and the alcoholic’s family. Each type of rehab facility must include proper therapy and guidance in their programs. Typically, licensed psychologists or psychiatrists provide the counseling and family outreach. Sometimes alcoholics who have recovered give advice to new rehab patients under the supervision of professional counselors.
