Question by : Do I have the LEGAL right to Obtain Childhood Rehab Records?
As a teenager I was sent away by my parents to “recreational treatments centers” for behavioral issues not drugs, and they of course keep daily charts and reports on each kid, now that I am 18, can I request a copy of them from those centers? do they have to give it to me If I ask? I live in California, but the centers were in multiple states.

There are many signs of alcoholism that enlighten our awareness that someone is having issues with alcohol dependence. Having been addicted to alcohol, I understand what an addict struggles with on a daily basis. My understanding of this disease was gained through being an alcohol dependent, getting sober and by attending hundreds of support group meetings.

In the process of getting my own life together, I was living with a drug addict/alcoholic. I had to learn how to deal with someone who was addicted to the substance as well as how to quit myself. Out of my frustration with their behaviors, I started attending support group meetings designed to help friends and family members of alcoholics.

Through many life experiences, I have a keen awareness of what alcoholism does to individuals as well as the people surrounding their lives. I have literally helped thousands of people suffering from the effects of someones dependence on alcohol.
