Am I Depressed or Is It Just a “teenager” Thing?

Question by Alexis: Am I depressed or is it just a “teenager” thing?
So I asked a question about being depressed and someone said it’s just part of being a teenager. I’m a fifteen year old girl. These are the reasons I think I might be depressed:

I sleep all the time. Even after I get a lot of sleep, I sleep more. I use to wake up around seven but now I stay awake until 8 a.m because I’m not tired and then sleep for ten or more hours. Last night was the first night that I slept all the way through but then I was so tired and slept until four p.m.

I’ve started cutting again. I just feel the urge to cut all the time nowadays.

I cry a lot.

I’m on the computer all the time. (on a website it said depressed teens will isolate themselves from their problems on the computer)

I’m sad all the time. I don’t smile as much as I did and I’m always thinking about all the bad things that has happened to me.

I told my mom awhile back that I was depressed but she didn’t do anything. Am I depressed or is this just a teenager thing? If I am depressed then what do I do?
