Question by Thurn: How do parents overcome this grief or find reason to be happy?
When their young child is raped and brutally murdered?

Knowing that their once beautiful baby is simply rotting in the ground and the scumbag who committed the crime has fulfilled his life’s goal and is now willing to go get lethal injection. He has a smile on his face and is fully content and proud of his victory over purity, innocence, and beauty. He will die happy, the parents will die with a piece of their souls missing. Other scumbags somewhere in the world will get the same victory and there is nothing anyone can do to stop them all. They have guaranteed victory.

How does a parent come to terms with this?
Maybe they can distract themselves by doing good deeds, but do they ever come to terms with the reality and the horror of it all?

i can feel the pain. grief counseling will help and doing something constructive like “Megan’s Law” can help.
