Are There Any Nutritionists/dietitians Out There?
Question by jukeboxhero2008: are there any nutritionists/dietitians out there?
i am interested in the field or at least in getting the education for my own pleasure and health benefits. i am curious as to how much money nutrionists make (im guessing it’s not much). do you have any advice for an aspiring dietitian? is there a “nutrion degree”? i am not only looking for diet knowledge but also to become certified. thanks

The degree is Registered Dietician. How much you would make as one depends on what type of work you end up doing with it. If you privately counsel individuals and work with them to develop healthy eating plans/menus/food lifestyle – you can end up doing quite well. I work at a Mental Health Institution that focuses mainly on two areas – Drug/Alcohol Rehab and Eatind Disorders. We have several RD’s who work as “nutritionists” and make about $ 100 per 30 minute visit with their private clients.
