I have been watching youtube videos on Johnny Cash.He loved trains.Is it true Johnny
had a temper,drinking problem,took no grief from no one.He is a legend.He would be 78 if he were still alive.

He really did NOT like trains. Kris Kristofferson tried to get him to record “City of New Orleans” in 1970 and Cash told him, “I’m sick of train songs! I don’t even like trains!” (And this was while he was doing a segment on his TV show every week called “Come Along and Ride This Train!”) After the song became the legendary song it is, Kristofferson never failed to rub it in that Cash could have had the song first.

He didn’t have a drinking problem, either. His problem was prescription pills.

And I would recommend that you read Cash’s autobiography instead of watching a movie. Movies inevitably take liberties with the truth in the name of “dramatic license.”
