How Do You Get Over the Loss of a Child?
Question by AskingAlexandria<3: How do you get over the loss of a child?
I had an etopic pregnancy in october ’06. My tube and pregnancy was remove at 7 weeks. I was not trying to concieve (im only 17) it was accidental, but just because i wasnt planning on a baby didnt mean i wanted it to die. i didnt even know i was pregnant until i went to the hospital because i was in sever pain, i was already like 2 months but had no clue. not even 24 hours after i found out i was pregnant, the pregnancy was gone( along with my left tube). it was hard to accept that i had been pregnant, it just did not seem real to me. But of course it was. it still hurts when i see people with babies, thinking that i could have one right now and dont. how can i get over the pain of losing this child???

You need to get some counselling, a loss is a loss regardless of how it occured. Age isn’t a signifier of whether you should grieve or not. Maybe you should find a way to talk to some trusted friends or family about it.
