What to Really Say When Someone Has a Stillborn ?
by youngdoo
Question by Bumblebeee: What to really say when someone has a stillborn ?
My cousin had a stillborn baby couple days ago, they left her in labour too long and stressed the baby and he died ten minutes after being delivered by emergency causean (sorry cant spell).
The situation is very sad, her first baby, first grandchild.
Everyone is very speechless and upset.
My question is what do i say to her, my auntie, her husband ??
Never knew anyone who had a stillborn till now.
Thanks in advance.
ok so its not technically a ‘stillborn’ but thats what we have called it with the difficult situation.
I actually need some nice words to say, write in a card, as im not expecting to see her anytime soon, and don;t want to overwhelm her by hanging round. Im too sad to see her just yet.

first of all…the baby was born alive..therefore not stillborn. Secondly…you dont need to say anything…just ring to let her know you’re thinking of her and see if there’s anything she needs. Just be there to listen.
