Is It Legal for a Clinical Psychologist in Private Practice to Mention Religion at Work?
Question by Anne: Is it legal for a clinical psychologist in private practice to mention religion at work?
By “private practice”, I mean they have their own clinic but still answer to the state or whoever makes the rules a clinical psychologist has to follow (who make rules such as the confidentiality law) . Are they allowed to say to a patient with depression “I think joining a religion would help” or things like that? Thanks.

Why does it worry you that much, as far as I see he was just merely stating some form of help which to me would not alarm me.
What do you think? Answer below!
I had a black dog, his name was depression – At its worst, depression can be a frightening, debilitating condition. Millions of people around the world live with depression. Many of these individuals and their families are afraid to talk about their struggles, and don’t know where to turn for help. However, depression is largely preventable and treatable. Recognizing depression and seeking help is the first and most critical towards recovery. In collaboration with WHO to mark World Mental Health Day, writer and illustrator Matthew Johnstone tells the story of overcoming the “black dog of depression”.
