Question by Lauren: What are some songs/quotes about losing a loved one?
Doesnt matter what type of music. Preferable not scary metal death though. My two best friends commited suicide in October and it hurts more and more everday and I like listening to music about a loss of a loved one. And a friend of mine died in a car crash not too long ago and I miss her dearly. And there are many others…and Im 14? Wtf. I dont deal with death very well.

I’m so sorry for your loss.

“To Where You Are ” by Josh Groban. Very moving tribute song. Also, “The Wind Beneath My Wings” by Bette Midler…not really a song about a lost loved one, but can be used that way. I had that played at my wedding to honor my late step mom. “Friends with You” by John Denver is another good one….some of the lyrics are “Friends I will remember you, think of you, pray for you, and when another day is through, I’ll still be friends with you”
