Question by Aisha Elizabeth: My family wants to adopt my best friend?
My best friend Sierra just turned 16 years old. Her mom is bipolar and her dad doesnt have a job. Her parents hate each other. I have accually heard them cussing at each other and throwing things trying to hurt one another. Sierra has stayed over at my house for weeks at a time because of this, with little to no contact from her mom, dad or little sister. Almost every night she calls me in tears. I feel so bad about it.

Anyways I am 17 years old tomorrow 🙂 and I was wondering if my family could adopt Sierra or have my parents become her legal guardians. I know that her parents would have to sign her over but I dont think they will. Sierra has been seeing a counselor for over two years and still nothing has gotten better.

thank you for the responses. I think Sierra is going to try and get emancipated. My parents are going to talk to hers.

now take serious action of adopting the friend of yours
it may help the child to grow in more better environment
