How Can I Start or Lead a Group to Councel Teenagers Who Have Lost Their Parents?

Question by infinite201: How can I start or lead a group to councel teenagers who have lost their parents?
when I was in high school my mother passed away. It took me years to realize I needed to talk to someone about it and I always felt like I couldn’t because I thought I was the only one going through it. I want to be able to connect with teenagers going through something similar to what I did so that they can interact with other people their age with a similar situation. I think its really important especially as a teenager to know there are other people out there going through the same thing so that they can begin to cope with it. I want to be able to share my story with them and provide a temporary support group to help them begin their healing process but I dont know where to go to get involved in something like that

Look up ‘bereavement support” or “bereavement counseling” in your area, check out the various groups, and contact one of them with your idea.
