How Can I Get My Parents to Realize That I Might Actually Be Going Through Depression?
Question by missypink80: How can I get my parents to realize that I might actually be going through depression?
My science research topic is on teen depression & I’ve realized that I’m exhibiting much of the depressive symptoms…but my mom just thinks I’m “just being a teenager.” Other times she says I’m just acting like the kids in the studies (but she never read any of the articles)…I would talk to my dad but he’s not even in the country right now…Plus sometimes I don’t think he listens completely…he tends to place blame on my mother a lot, like last year when I told him about my suicidal thoughts…I blame both of my parents and their constant arguing & pressure but its like they don’t want to even hear what I have to say.
