How Soon Is Too Soon to Get Married After Being Widowed?
Question by PrettyWifey: How soon is too soon to get married after being widowed?
A friend of mine is 33 and has a two year old and a 5 year old. His wife (the mother of his 2 children) died 13 months ago in a car crash.
About 6 months ago he started dating a 26 year old family friend who claims she has always been in love with him. They are getting married next month. She has never been married before and has no children. And they were NOT having an affair.
His family and friends are really concerned about him marrying a year after his wife’s death. His fiancee seems cold about the dead wife and tells the family they need “grief” counseling because it’s time to move on. She also leads people on to think that she is the biological mother of the two children.
What do you think about this?
