People, Why Do You Suggest Marriage Counseling in Abuse Cases?…?

Question by cam1126: People, Why do you suggest marriage counseling in abuse cases?…?
In order for counseling to be effective, BOTH parties have to go and have to WANT to change. Just like alcoholism. In 99 percent of the cases you give “counseling” as an answer, it will be wasted money. Sorry, that is just the way it works. However, if you can get him(or her) to agree to really try and change then by all means go to counseling. But in cases of abuse it will not work. Your best bet is to clean out the bank account and GET AWAY FAST!! Good Luck!
